Each day we watch the news patiently regarding the Jupiter Coronvirus -COVID-19 for what’s happening in the area. First it was limiting store hours, next restaurants were allowing 50% less patrons and beaches were open. In the last few days this is changing. The malls are shut down, restaurants in Jupiter and Palm Beach county are now going to take-out only. Today we heard the beach are going to be closed in Palm Beach County. I’ve never seen such a thing. It’s like a TV movie.
Today at Publix in Jupiter I watched the line form for entering the store. It reminded me of the gas crisis back in 1973. The people gathered inches apart but wore gloves. Hello are you watching the news and how it spreads. Stay 6 ft away from people. It is an airborne virus.
The effect of Jupiter Coronavirus COVID-19 on real estate. AS you may know this has put a slow down in the Jupiter real estate market and I expect it to continue to have a rippling effect for several months. Along with the stock market crash I expect to see a pull back in real estate prices by as much as 10% or more in higher end properties. This may change the mentality of how people think about home ownership. You may see the demand for second homes pull back.

We are devastated by COVID-19. Some of our neighbors have tested positive. Almost 300 are self-quarantined with symptoms. Our favorite ski mountain is closed. Our restaurants are closed. Our retailers are closed. Those most economically fragile are taking a beating.
Proving that we are part of the real world, there is no toilet paper anywhere.
Taking the long view, we are closed to visitation. More than just our economic lifeblood. Our lifeblood.
Folks take the Coronavirus COVID-19 seriously and stay away from people.
Everyone was wrong and the exact opposite happened. The prices of homes have doubled or more here in Florida since Covid. Most Jupiter single family homes are starting at a million today where these $500,000 homes in Abacoa are now a million. Condos on Jupiter Island have more than doubled since the Seaglass condos were built.
