With so many choices of condos on Jupiter Island how do you know where to begin and what is the difference between the different buildings? You will find Jupiter Island condos ranging in price from $300,000 to $3 million dollars. The first oceanfront condos were built in the 60’s and the last condos were built near 2000. As the years changed condos becam larger and larger with more amenities and features. The very early condos were usually 1,000 sq. ft, had laundry rooms to share and rarely featured covered parking or a garage. The early amenities included a community pool and maybe a small clubroom. Buyers needs were simple and not what buyers are looking for today. A small place to get away from the winter weather, a pool and the beach. That is all most of the buyers wanted. Of course the average age of the buyer back then was 65 or older where today many buyers looking at oceanfront condos are in the 50’s, so they are much younger and have families with kids.

Ocean vs Intracoastal condos on Jupiter Island

What is most important to you in a Florida condo? Do yoo enjoy watching the blue ocean waters and hearing the waves hit the sand or would you rather watch boats  and paddle boards go by your condo and have some city lights at night. Both offer unique  views and appeal to different buyers but I will say a greater percentage ask for ocean views. I guess it is just been driled into our heads  oceanfront condos. The advantage to Intracoastal views is the condos are usually less expensive and many condos will have boat docks as well. On Jupiter Island the distance to the beach from the condos on the Intracoastal is a 2 minute longer walk up your private beach access.

The ocean views offer the sound of waves hitting the beach and occasionally you will see some boats out there maybe fishing or watching everyone just relaxing on the beach. Sure at night the ocean is black but many forget several times a year the full moon comes up over the ocean and lights up the water. It is a beautiful site. Living on the ocean you will be wakened by the early morning sunrise and what betetr way to start your day.  Both offer different but either choice will make you happy.
