The baby boomers and many corporate clients are heading South and calling Florida home. Living in Florida since 1979 I have seen dramatic changes in population, growth and more of a city feel than a beach town in many areas.
Florida has always had migrations of buyers continually moving North. When I first moved here many people had lived in Broward and Dade County were now living in Palm Beach County in areas such as Boca Raton. The next wave started pushing North into Jupiter and Martin County around the mid to late 90’s. Many people that lived in Boca back in the 80’s now live here in Jupiter and Martin County. It’s just been a natural movement of people slowly migrating North.

Boca Raton has always been a popular destination and a beautiful town to live in. It was where the more affluent people lived in communities like the Royal Palm Yacht & CC, THe Polo Club and many others. The famous Boca Raton Resort was always a popular hotel here in the area. You were surrounded by Highland Beach , Delray Beach and Fort Lauderdale to the South. They had height restrictions on building which kept the skyline limited and a small town feel. It still remains a popular place to live but now has become a city more than a town. You will still find some incredible Boca Raton oceanfront condos that offer a wonderful place to live and Highland Beach condos will give you ocean and Intracoastal views from many condos.
